1. Overview
ClearMac Cleaner is a local file-cleanup utility published by WebNet. This policy applies to the ClearMac macOS app (bundle ID kz.webnetkz.clearmac), not to the WebNet website or other products.
ClearMac does not require an account. The app does not collect personal information for transmission to WebNet.
2. Local processing
When you choose a folder, ClearMac processes that folder on your Mac. Depending on the feature you use, the app reads file and folder names, paths, sizes, dates, and file contents needed to find large files, duplicates, or cleanup candidates. This information is used to show results in the app and is not sent to WebNet.
ClearMac does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking tools and does not transmit scan results, file names, file contents, or folder paths to WebNet.
3. Information stored on your Mac
ClearMac saves app preferences and a cleanup history in its local macOS application-support folder. The history contains cleanup categories, counts, timestamps, space freed or moved to Trash, and error counts; it does not store the names or contents of scanned files. This local information is not available to WebNet.
Folder access granted through the macOS folder picker is held for the current app launch. You can clear cleanup history from within the app. Local settings and history remain on your Mac unless you remove them.
4. Sharing and tracking
The app does not send information to WebNet or other third parties, and it does not use third-party analytics or advertising services. Apple may process information separately when you use the App Store, in accordance with Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
5. Folder access and deletion
You choose which folders ClearMac may inspect using the macOS folder picker. The App Store version can access only folders you select, and access ends when the app closes. ClearMac does not scan other locations through this folder access.
If you choose to clean an item, ClearMac acts on the item shown in the results. The App Store version may permanently delete selected items; review the selection before confirming a cleanup.
6. Your choices
You control which folders to select and which suggested items to clean. You may clear the app's cleanup history from its history screen. You may contact WebNet with a privacy question using the details below.
7. Changes to this policy
If ClearMac's data practices change, this page will be updated to describe the change. The effective date shown below identifies the latest revision.
